Twin sister and award-winning activists, Maryam and Nivaal began their advocacy journey at the age of eight in their village in Pakistan, championing girls’ access to education. Over the past 15+ years, their work has grown into a global mission, amplifying causes such as education and climate justice on major platforms including the G7 Summit and UN General Assembly. They have been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Governor General's Caring Canadian Award, and have interviewed global leaders such as Malala Yousafzai, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Christine Lagarde. Their impact spans partnerships with leading organizations like the Walt Disney Company, UN Foundation, and the World Bank, where they’ve served as youth leaders, consultants, and filmmakers. Academically, they hold undergraduate degrees from the University of Toronto and a postgraduate degree from the University of Oxford. They are also the founders of The World With MNR, The MNR Foundation, and Stories at the Table—initiatives dedicated to storytelling, advocacy, and youth empowerment on a global scale.
