YOUTHTOPIA

The YOUTHTOPIA Team are all Indonesian youth eager to connect with the largest biodiversity in the country, understand the challenges and see who is on the frontlines for the solutions. Melati and the team start brainstorming at the HQ, get on a plane and begin their journey deep into the forest, to Medan and the Leuser National Park in Sumatra. There they learn about 4 critical issues endangering the peoples, the animals, and the forest itself. In a story of hope they meet young people to learn about local solutions and how communities are standing up against the system through indigenous art, culture and through youth leadership. It is important to focus not on the inspiration but tangible examples of action and change.
