Naudelis Fernández Reyes is a third-year student at the University of Puerto Rico Law School. She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and currently resides in the municipality of Toa Alta. She completed a bachelor’s degree at St. Michael's College, in the state of Vermont,U.S. where she graduated in 2018 with a specialization in Environmental Studies and Sustainability. In 2019 she served as the first Ocean and Vessels Fellow at the environmental organization, Friends of the Earth U.S. in Washington D.C., where she worked on advocacy campaigns related to the environmental impact of cruise ships, aquaculture projects, and offshore drilling. That same year she began her law studies and then participated as the spokesperson in the Pro Bono group Caño/Cauce, organizing pro bono and educational activities to help the communities of El Caño Martín Peña and Río Piedras. She is currently a research assistant at the University of Puerto Rico’s Resiliency Law Center. Naudelis is also part of Caribe Siembra where she works on a reforestation and food security campaign on the island.
