Hi there! My name is Matty Scarratt-Jones and I live in the United Kingdom. I'm 17 and studying A-Levels - Geography, Politics, Sociology and photography - giving me a broad range of ideas and knowledge. In my school I have just finished my term as the school's lead on sustainable and eco issues. Educating and learning along the way! Parallel to this, I am apart of the Avon Schools Eco Network, a student led group that is apart of the wider Uk Schools Sustainability Network. Now it is through this that I was chosen to represent young people from all over the world on the global stage at COP26! Here I met with politicians and diplomats from all over the world to attempt for them to listen and learn from young people. Now I don't want to bore you any longer with my backstory, but would instead like to look to the future. If I can even change one persons mindset or perspective on the world, through youthtopia's platform, to a more positive one. I will feel accomplished because you don't need to be inspiring 1000 people every day. Even if you can just change one, they could be the person to go on and change the world. To sum this up, I leave you with this; Be that person to kickstart the change and it is likely to snowball. Don't wait for the next person to come along and do it. They might be too late.
